Lauren Lake to Lead Workshop at the Burchfield Penny Art Center
Lauren Lake, Dean of the School of Art and Design + Performing Arts Division at Alfred University, will lead a workshop at the Burchfield Penny Art Center in Buffalo, NY on Jan. 27 from 11 am-1:30 pm.
The workshop, Experimental Approaches to Sketchbooks + Idea Development, is inspired by the current Burchfield-Penny exhibition, “John Wood: The System is Alive.”
Lake’s workshop will encourage participants to learn how to develop formulas, prompts, experiments, and combinations of materials to develop sketchbooks filled with unanticipated products and rich imagery.
