Alum Meghann Galloway '10 to deliver Riley Lecture, March 18
Alfred University will host the 29th annual Elizabeth Hallenbeck and Charles P. Riley Lecture in Women’s and Gender Studies Monday, March 18, at 5:30 p.m. in the Powell Campus Center’s Knight Club.
Meghann P. Galloway ’10, Senior Counsel (Detailee) in the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Legislative Affairs, will deliver the lecture, "The Stories We Tell Ourselves: Using Narrative to Advance Policy Solutions to Our Most Pressing Social Problems."
Galloway received a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Drexel University, where she also earned her JD degree. She has worked extensively in Washington DC, with stints as a legislative aide to former Congressman Amo Houghton (NY) and former Congresswoman Karen Bass (CA).
She was featured in the Spring 2023 issue of Alfred Magazine.
A reception will follow Galloway’s lecture, which is open to the public.
The daughters of Elizabeth Hallenbeck and Charles P. Riley, Pamela Riley Osborn ’62, Patricia A. Riley ’65, and Melissa Riley, sponsor the Riley lecture series in memory of their parents.
