Alumni Spotlight is an electronic newsletter produced by the Alfred University Office of Marketing and Communications and published periodically throughout the year. It aims to highlight news and accomplishments of our amazing alumni. Alumni news is included in the Class Notes section of the Alfred alumni magazine, which is published twice a year. Alfred University presented its annual Alumni Awards during the 2024 Reunion Weekend, June 5-8. Five award winners were recognized for their contributions to Alfred University, their workplace and society in general.

Alfred University alumnus Bob Beyer ’84 has been named an assistant coach for the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers, serving under first-year head coach JJ Redick.

The daughters of Dan Callahan ’89 and Steve Argentieri ’90, former teammates on the Alfred University football team, competed in the U20 women’s lacrosse championships in Hong Kong last month, helping the United States team to a gold medal in the international competition.
