Alfred University’s Gaustad interviewed for NPR story on Space Materials Institute Gabrielle Gaustad ’04, dean of the Inamori School of Engineering at Alfred University, was interviewed for a story broadcast on Rochester’s National Public Radio station, where she discussed the university’s recently-unveiled Space Materials Institute.

Mark your calendars: Day of Giving is December 5 Alfred University will host its annual Day of Giving—“All In For Alfred”—on Founders Day, Thursday, Dec. 5.

Alfred University String Orchestra to perform Friday with alumnus Aaron Vit ’21 Aaron Vit ’21, an Alfred University alumnus who studied mechanical engineering in the Inamori School of Engineering, will join the Alfred University String Orchestra Friday night, in Miller Theater, where the orchestra will present an eclectic program ranging from the Baroque era to the modern period and including works by Vivaldi, Michael Haydn, Shostakovich, and Scott Joplin.

Language students experience Asian food culture on Rochester field trip A group of students enrolled in Alfred University's Chinese language courses traveled on a field trip to Rochester on Oct. 29 where they explored the rich and diverse world of Asian food culture.
